I loved the color and the illustration is so loose and cartoony; it just really made the invitation light and personal.

Gilded Wedding Invites by Oh, So Beautiful Paper – the presentation of these is awesome. I love the folder the pieces come in and metallic gold makes everything over-the-top.

I have been meaning to get on this whole blog thing for quite some time. Luckily, I have some friends and family whose pokes and prods have finally pushed me to launch the RyanvsClark blog. I know you may have some questions like:

Ryan, what are you going to use this for?

Good first question, reader. I plan on using this blog to write about all of my artistic and design exploits, from sites I design and code to illustrations I do, inspiration I have, and methods I use to accomplish these feats. I will probably not blog about the coffee I drink, what I had for breakfast, new developments in my closet organization or anything that you really don’t care about. We’re gonna keep this professional, people.

Are you only going to tell us things?

I am a firm believer that the web is a great place for dialogue. In this vein, I hope to post some more open-ended discussion topics along the way. Like most artists I have my own personal method for most things…is it always right or efficient? no. That’s where you come in. The more we share the smarter we all get!

Will you have a regular schedule?

We’ve all been there. A blog dazzles for a post or two, you finally give in and subscribe, only to never read a meaningful post again. And then the unsubscribe-of-shame. This is a sad turn of events that I hope you never go through. My current plan is to post on weekdays, with Monday being an inspiration-oriented extravaganza and Friday a list of my fav posts from other sites throughout the week. Lofty I know, but things in life worth doing are worth doing well, right?

So I guess now that you’re here you should make yourself comfy. Stay a while, check out the portfolio, my firm, my emptees or RedBubble page…subscribe links are over there —–> Thanks!
